Sustainable development and skills training for women

Objective: To promote the well-being of women, youngsters and children in 4 large shanty towns (slums) of Bangalore, especially in JP Nagar and Jayanagar.
Description
The beneficiaries are 1,200 women from the self-help groups and their families; 360 young people and 400 children.
The project aims:
- To develop the skills of women and young people through different modules: home care, dress making, computer and English workshops, and crafts.
- To promote the health and autonomy of women.
- To empower young people who have dropped out of school, so that they find a decent job.
- To provide education and nutritious food to poor children
