Oh Virgin of Carmel, we wear your holy Scapular, as a sign of our consecration to your Immaculate Heart. It calls for an unreserved dedication to you, for a generous dedication to your service, and an unwavering fidelity to your love and solicitous imitation of your virtues. We want to live according to the Carmelite ideal in you, with you and for you.

Our consecration unites with the entire Carmelite family, thus it increases value and effectiveness. Holy Mary, Advocate and Mediatrix of men & women, spread your scapular, as a mantle of protection over the Church and the world, over men and women, young people and children, old and sick, orphans and afflicted, marginalized and abandoned.

Protect those who are violated in their rights, the sinners; the persecuted and the hungry, the victims of this pandemic that devastates humanity. May hatreds, wars, resentments vanish, may wounds heal and may we move on with a more just and humane society.

In your mother’s heart we place those who fight for peace and justice, those committed to the advancement and renewal of societies, those who seek communion and universal fraternity, those who accompany, console, support and work for the welfare of the humanity.

Mother and Queen of Carmel, we come before you so that you may bless and protect us; with you we desire to travel the ways of the Gospel to be bearers of the Good News and sowers of hope. So be it.
