THE VIRTUAL MEET OF THE LAY AND CMS ADVISERS OF THE DEMARCATIONS
On 7th of July-2020, Sr. Loida had sent the mail announcing the forthcoming virtual meet of the coordinators of all the demarcations on 10th July-2020. We were so excited and waited for this day to come. Finally, the day arrived when the Lay and CMS advisers from different parts of the world met on Skype. We were 30 of us from different demarcations. The morning, the noon and the evening came together. It was the CM Eclipse. What a joy of meeting each other though we did not know each other personally but the spirit of Fr. Francisco Palau united us as one family. Indeed, whenever the family comes together, there is always the warmth of love. We greeted each other, looked at different shades of faces with beautiful smiles. No wonder why Fr. Francisco Palau exclaimed “You, Oh Holy Church, are infinitely beautiful”.
The meeting began with a short prayer conducted by Sr. Loida. Sr. Lila Rosa, our General, greeted us and addressed to the group that it is very important to remain connected to each other in order to work in communion and reach out to the peripheries. Sr. Angelica Conde conducted the meeting and Sr. Loida translated it for English speaking demarcations.
The aim of the meeting was to get to know each other and Palautian Network project-seeking to respond to our shared mission with the laity. On the first round we introduced each other and the second round we planned the days of the forthcoming meetings. Since the pandemic broke out the planned meeting in Rome which was scheduled on 05/05/2020 to 15/05/2020 was cancelled and the future is uncertain, Sr.Angelica and Sr.Loida were inspired to continue our mission using the means of the technology. Thus, we decided to meet virtually on 31st July, 21st August, 4th September, 25th September and on 2at of October. We will be presenting our reports on the above-mentioned days. Finally, with a short prayer we concluded the meeting. The conference lasted for Two and Half hours.
