To provide job training opportunities for 200 migrant women with dependent family members, favouring their integral development and social integration.


The Francesc Palau Centre welcomes, guides and accompanies migrant women who arrive in Prat de Llobregat; it promotes their empowerment and social inclusion, through workshops focused on professional training in: care of dependent persons, kitchen assistant, dining room staff, hairdressing assistant, barbering, pattern making and dressmaking, electricity, plumbing, welding, job search techniques and IT.

The project consists of training women in the care of dependent persons, providing them with psychological support; training for the families of dependent persons is also included.

Beneficiaries: 200 migrant women, willing to learn, to work as a team and to be involved in this social project.


- It has improved the employability of 50 women in the sector of home care for dependent persons, reinforcing their technical training, self-esteem and sense of belonging.
- Psychological accompaniment and empowerment of 58 women to manage their life project and their integration.
- Training and awareness-raising for 15 families on the issue of immigration, dignity and labour rights of professional carers, promoting fair and dignified labour relations.
- The women have created a support network among themselves.
- Tools, nursing and physiotherapy guidelines have been offered to 15 families to improve understanding and care for people with dementia.
