Help girls protect their dignity

Target
To provide education and dignity to 1000 women (girls, young women and adults), from different schools in the areas of Kibera, Turkana and Kitengela, through a process of awareness and feminine hygiene, which favours their integral development and permanence in school.
PHASE II:
To provide education and dignity to 1500 women (girls, young women and adults), from different schools in the areas of Kibera, Turkana and Kitengela, through a process of awareness and feminine hygiene, which favours their integral development and permanence in school.
Description
The project consists of:
Promote intimate hygiene and the health of young women through awareness-raising talks and the provision of a hygiene kit with washable and reusable cloth sanitary towels.
To make the kits in the areas where the project is being developed and generate income for the women.
The areas where the project is being developed are marked by poverty, lack of opportunities, marginalisation and exclusion of women. Another situation that limits women's development is the cultural pattern during the menstrual period, in which girls are absent from school because they feel dirty and unclean, many of them remain sitting on the ground or on cardboard to absorb their flow, because they cannot access the means of feminine hygiene (sanitary towels). In other cases, girls resort to occasional prostitution to buy food and sanitary towels on the market, resulting in early pregnancies and abortions, as well as psychological problems such as depression and low self-esteem.
