Target

Encourage and accompany the process of comprehensive training of 45 women and men, training them in techniques for the production of handicrafts and crafts, in order to promote empowerment and self-management processes.

Description

Villamaría is a municipality in the Department of Caldas, with high rates of unemployment, extreme poverty, drugs and prostitution. Agriculture is based on the cultivation of vegetables, potatoes, beans and coffee.

The project aims to contribute to the training of 45 artisan leaders and provide them with tools for work and human development.

It will be carried out through 3 main lines of action:
1. Motivate and link beneficiaries to learn handicrafts.
2. To educate in human-Christian values.
3. Promote the solidarity economy through training in entrepreneurship and the generation of micro-enterprises.

BENEFICIARIES
45 women and men who come from displaced families from all over the country, especially from the north of the Department of Caldas.

Achievements

- Training was provided in human-Christian values that favour the integral development of the beneficiaries and their families.
- 45 beneficiaries were trained in techniques for making handicrafts and handicrafts to promote empowerment and self-management processes in the beneficiaries and their families.
- The solidarity economy was promoted among the 45 beneficiaries through training in entrepreneurship and the creation of micro-enterprises, cooperatives and/or productive units to generate resources.
