On 20 May, PROKARDE was present in the square of Perales del Rio (Getafe). As every year, we joined in this popular and supportive festival. It was a day full of activities with the exhibition and sale of handicrafts, typical products and information about the various participating social entities.  

It is a festival that brings together neighbours and friends, with activities for the little ones, music, parades, asparagus tasting, etc. It was a great opportunity to strengthen friendship and community spirit in this part of the Madrid region.

PROKARDE has contributed with its solidarity market, with the sale of handicrafts from different parts of the world and with cakes, lemonade and coffee prepared by friends and volunteers. The aim is to support the school construction project in Akpoga Nike (Nigeria) and also to give visibility to our organisation and what we do.

It may seem like just another activity, but behind it there are volunteers, generous people who make an effort to make these events possible, and the sisters also collaborate, because PROKARDE belongs to all of us. We are aware that solidarity is not just words, but comes to life with our daily commitment.

THANK YOU is the word that best expresses what we feel. To the volunteers, for their "always being there", to those who open their homes and hearts to welcome us, to the friends and families of the Santa Teresa school who came. Thanks also to the sisters and partners of our projects who were present in spirit, for it is our wish to continue to support your mission to build together a more just world.
