It was very significant for CMS and its Advisors in the Philippines on 8 April at 9am, Holy Saturday, the third day of the Easter Triduum. They had a virtual meeting via zoom with Sr. Loida Tortogo, General Councillor, responsible for CMS at Congregational level. It was facilitated by Sr. Corazon Gaballo, CM, Provincial Councillor, responsible for the CMS and Sr.

The Virtual Meeting opened with a thank you to the participants from different regions: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Maria del Angel Conde, General Councillor, another sister responsible for CMS at the congregational level, joined the meeting shortly before it started to greet the assembly and also Sr Raquel Diaz and Sr Maria Jacintha D' Souza, General Councillors, companions of Sr Loida in carrying out the Pastoral Visit in the Demarcation.

The participants were very attentive to Sister Loida's talk. She pointed out that being a CMS is not an ordinary commitment but a special lay vocation based on the spirituality of our Father Founder Fr Francisco Palau. She pointed out that she and her companions of the Pastoral Visit have seen how the CMS are active and organised. For this reason, they are highly valued and appreciated by the Congregation. In this sense, the CMS are invited to continue with the same passion and spirit of dedication in the mission and in the formation they are receiving.

He praised the groups for their service and generosity in collaboration with the Carmelite Missionary Sisters over the past years, especially during the pandemic, and encouraged them to strengthen the shared mission.

After the talk, some shared their views and asked for clarification. Indeed, in a short period of time, the meeting has inspired and moved the members to continue their mission as Secular Missionary Carmel. The meeting concluded with a prayer and all shared the CMS greetings of peace....

"We will go where the glory of God calls us".
