On September 21, we brought to a close the Pastoral Visit of our sisters Lila Ramírez and Angélica Conde in our demarcation, Teresa de los Andes, Chile.

It was an experience of warm sisterly communion in which we were able to thank the Lord for all the good He has done for us. During this gathering, held at the Delegation House, nearly all the sisters from our four communities came together: San José in San Fernando, Santa Teresa de los Andes in Vicuña, El Vedrá in Curacaví, and María Reina in Santiago.

The focus of our sharing was to look realistically at the life and mission of our demarcation, acknowledging both our strengths and our vulnerabilities, and recognizing the need to live revitalization not simply as a process centered on structural or organizational change, but as an inner renewal of life itself. This calls us to rediscover the meaning of our vocation, strengthen our communion, and discern together how to respond today to the promptings of the Spirit and the needs of our world. We also revisited the process of reorganization and, in a spirit of synodality, reflected on the situation of our ministries, drawing on the insights available to us as we seek to make the best decisions possible. In doing so, we were reminded of the importance of remaining open and available to God's will.

It was an intense day, lived at a good pace. Yet its greatest gift was discovering ourselves as women filled with hope, enthusiasm, and joy, ready to continue this stage of our demarcation journey along the paths the Lord may set before us.

We sincerely thank Sisters Lila and Angélica for their time among us in Chile, for their closeness and dedication to each sister and community, and for their generous accompaniment. Through their presence and guidance, they have given us light and perspective as we continue to discern the possibilities of this moment in our history, within the great experience of being one family in Missionary Carmel.

In this month dedicated to our homeland, we place our lives in the hands of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, asking her to protect us with a mother's tenderness.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Queen of Chile, save your people who cry out to you.

Sr. Lidia Mardones, CM
