We came into contact with the presence of the Carmelite Missionaries in Thailand on their Silver Jubilee. Congratulations Sisters and thank you for your testimony of love and service!

Hermana Anafe Bello, cm nos comparte su experiencia…

In January 1996, three vibrant Carmelite Missionaries, namely: Sr. Roslyn Rivera, Sr. Antonia Cazar and Sr. Cresencia Lopez, were sent to Thailand on a mission, as a response to the invitation by the prelate of Ratchaburi at that time, Bishop Manat. He had visited the Provincial House of the Carmelite Missionaries in the Philippines prior to that year, to invite our congregation to work in his Diocese.

Due to the pandemic situation, we postponed our Silver anniversary celebration and decided to wait for a favorable time to celebrate it more meaningfully. So today, November 6, 2021, the Memorial of our 4 CM martyrs and in anticipation of the feast of our Father Founder, we gathered to reminisce with gratitude and joy the sacrifices of our foundresses as well as the Sisters who came after them.

Love: the greatest testimony

The lovely testimonies of the people who knew these Sisters are really heartwarming. They learned from the people they journeyed with through the many ups and downs of life. The sisters shared their giftedness and faith, thus enriching the ministries entrusted to them. They were loved by the people from all walks of life: the parishioners, the students, teachers, the seminarians and the clergy of this Diocese. Our Sisters gave witness to our Founder’s legacy: love of God and love of neighbor as the object of their mission. They showed through examples that their “life is the least they can offer in exchange for the love of the Church.”

In communion with the Church of the Philippines

While we were about to celebrate this simple event, we informed our guests about the two important occasions in the Philippines: the commemoration of the 500th year anniversary of Christian faith, with its theme “Gifted to Give” and the arrival of the first Spanish Carmelite Missionaries in Philippine soil in 1956.

Proyecto “Bike”

In solidarity with the poor, we joined the Bike project of our Province. 65 bikes will be given away to deserving persons to commemorate 65 years of CM presence in the Philippines. We chose a college student whose widowed mother could not afford to provide her a means of transportation to bring her to school.

Consagradas para Dar y Servir…

Indeed, we have accepted the challenge to GIVE, not from our plenty but from our limited resources. In our own little way, we make the cries of the poor our own and we try to respond to the needs of the present time. Like our foundresses, we want to allow God to use us, to use our hands and hearts so that as one community we will truly mean when we say: CM-Thailand @25… and beyond… is Gifted to Give!
