The General Council of Administration of the Carmelite Missionaries, meeting in Rome from the 12 to the 19 of November of 2018, has approved the financing of 23 NEW SOLIDARITY PROJECTS and has agreed to continue supporting some others during the 2019 year.

Description
- The beneficiaries are the children of Moshono, whose mothers have to work outside the home to survive and leave them alone. The project aims to: Prevent children from being left alone at home while their mothers work. Guarantee children basic care and quality education.

- The beneficiaries are 75 children and youth from 3 parishes in the area, distant from each other. Description
- The recipients of the project are 50 children and adolescents of school age and socially disadvantaged, coming from families that do not have the possibility of educating their children. It is intended that children and adolescents improve their school performance and acquire social skills to develop their abilities. This initiative is carried out with the participation of tutors and volunteers, who identify children and adolescents who need school support for individualized work. Information and guidance to parents favors their involvement in the academic process of their children.

Description
- The direct recipients are 60 women and men from the rural areas of Alto and Bajo Biavo; Indirectly 500 families will benefit. The population mostly comes from the departments of Cajamarca, Piura, Chiclayo and Jaén. Many of these families have arrived in this area of the jungle in search of new land to be cultivated so that their primary activity is agriculture and livestock. It is intended in an organized way and with the active participation of women, to look for new economic alternatives that allow them to generate income. He will develop workshops on self-esteem, leadership, training in dressmaking and other crafts.

- The project aims to build a well on parish lands, for the human consumption of the population of Siay. The beneficiaries are: The parish community of San José Obrero de Siay (29 chapels) and the general population. In this way, evangelizing and social activities are favored. The Siay area is a victim of the mining industry that spends and pollutes much of the water in the area. The government rations water and is often cut off by the supply for several days.

- This area of Mindanao suffers terrorist violence and Christians try to live peacefully with Muslims, other confessions and with the various indigenous tribes. The role of Christian leaders benefits social cohesion and peace among all members of society. Due to the mountainous geography, transport and attention to small Christian communities is difficult. The project consists of training leaders through meetings and seminars, for two years. At the same time, a multiplier action is planned for the population of the Siay region.

- The indicated population has established itself as an invasion in a land belonging to the company GRU, of Guarulhos International Airport. The recipients are families from that neighborhood in which high levels of poverty are evident, few employment and education alternatives, so that the youth and children population is exposed to a great social risk. This initiative aims to strengthen existing leadership, strengthen union, networking and everyone's commitment.

- The project is aimed at people in situations of vulnerability and social risk: 20 prisoners from Ceresp de Betim 25 sick 35 families without financial resources In the prison ministry the Carmelitas Missionaries collaborate jointly with “Hands for Peace” offering personal hygiene material, transportation to relatives of prisoners and material (origami paper) for handicrafts. Patient care is developed in coordination with the pastoral ministry of health, offering support with diapers and medications. And in connection with the public agency “Manos Solidarias”, we collaborate with a food basket, construction material, school supplies and home visits.
