Father Jaume Benaloy Marco is a "happy priest". The son of Pepe and María Luisa, he is the eldest of three brothers. He grew up in Benidorm (Spain).

He was ordained priest on 26 June 1999 and, after ten years of ministry, was sent as a missionary "ad gentes" to the diocese of Chimbote. He will soon complete 14 years in Peru.

He holds a PhD in Educational Sciences from the Universidad Católica Los Ángeles de Chimbote, and is a theologian and specialist in interreligious dialogue from the Pontifical Lateran University of Rome and a social worker from the University of Alicante, Spain.

Throughout his pastoral and educational career, he has around 200 publications in magazines, books and digital media, and has given more than 300 lectures, workshops and retreats. He has taught in various public and private educational institutions of secondary and university education in Spain and Peru.
