VIERNES IV DE PASCUA

 MOTIVATION

Jesús penetra nuestros corazones y sentimientos, y hoy sale al paso de nuestras inquietudes con palabras reconfortantes.

Pasan los años, el tiempo, y nuestras dudas a veces se convierten en un peso, pues nos planteamos qué hemos hecho con nuestras vidas, cómo va a ser nuestro final, si vale la pena aspirar y confiar en un cielo, en donde todos viviremos en el Amor por siempre.

Ante éstas y otras inquietudes, hoy la palabra sale a nuestro con la certeza de que Jesús mismo se hace cargo de nosotros y nos habla al corazón. Dispongámonos a escucharle con la confianza total de los niños que pueden descansar en paz en los brazos de su madre.

Del Evangelio de san Juan 14,1-6

Zu dieser Zeit sagte Jesus zu seinen Jüngern:
    «No se turbe vuestro corazón, creed en Dios y creed también en mí. En la casa de mi Padre hay muchas moradas; si no, os lo habría dicho, porque me voy a prepararos un lugar. Cuando vaya y os prepare un lugar, volveré y os llevaré conmigo, para que donde estoy yo estéis también vosotros. Y adonde yo voy, ya sabéis el camino».
Tomás le dice:
    «Señor, no sabemos adónde vas, ¿cómo podemos saber el camino?».
Jesús le responde:
    «Yo soy el camino y la verdad y la vida. Nadie va al Padre sino por mí».
 COMENTARIO ORANTE
Muchas veces comentamos que la fe es un camino arduo, de opciones, de dar un salto en el vacío, de total confianza… Pero en el evangelio de hoy, aparece otro aspecto de la fe: la total seguridad.
Jesús nos dice: «No se turbe vuestro corazón. Creed en Dios, y creed también en mí». La fe es entrar en la dinámica de saber que nada me puede turbar el centro del ser; que en la vida hay contrariedades y momentos difíciles, pero tenemos la experiencia de que viviendo en Dios, el interior puede estar firme, pues Él mismo habita en el centro del ser.
Ante las dudas sobre el futuro, más aún cuando nos van faltando las fuerzas o nos sentimos solos, la promesa de Jesús es nuestra fortaleza y nuestra esperanza: «Os llevaré conmigo, para que donde yo esté, también estéis vosotros». Si la fe tiene espacios en donde hemos de dar un salto de confianza y cerrar los ojos, también es cierto que ella se apoya en la palabra y la vida de Jesús; y Él nunca nos puede fallar.
Hoy es una jornada para permanecer dando gracias por tanto bien. Todo se pasa, pero hay alguien que nunca nos falta, que es Dios. Y si Él basta, que nos baste.
GEBET
Cristo Resucitado,
los caminos de nuestra vida
muchas veces parecen encrucijadas sin indicadores,
y no sabemos muy bien
ni por dónde tirar, ni cómo actuar,
ni con quién ir.
 
Tu palabra sale al paso de nuestras dudas
y nos conforta diciendo:
«No temas. Yo estoy contigo».
 
Aunque el seguirte no nos aporta
soluciones inmediatas y automáticas,
sí que nos da lo mejor:
la certeza honda
de que siempre estás y estarás a nuestro lado,
y la paz del corazón que nos manifiesta
que viviendo en Ti,
ya nada nos puede turbar.

MOTIVATION
Jesus knows our hearts and feelings, and today He comes out to meet us in our worries, with comforting words.
Years pass, and our doubts sometimes become a burden, because we consider what we have done with our lives, what our end will be like, if it is worth aspiring and trusting in a heaven where we will all live in Love forever.
Before these and other concerns, today the word comes to us with the certainty that Jesus himself takes charge of us, and speaks to our heart. Let us prepare ourselves to listen to him with the total confidence of children who can rest in peace in the arms of their mother.

From the Gospel of John 14:1-6
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
Jesus answered, 
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

REFLECTION
Many times we comment that faith is a hard path made of options, of taking a leap into emptiness, of total confidence… But in today’s Gospel, another aspect of faith appears: total security.
Jesus tells us: «Do not let your heart be troubled. Believe in God, and believe also in me». Faith is entering into the dynamic of knowing that nothing can disturb the center of my being; that in life there are setbacks and difficult moments, but we have the experience that living in God, the interior can be firm, because He himself lives in the center of our being.
In the face of doubts about the future, especially when we are lacking in strength or feel alone, the promise of Jesus is our strength and our hope: “I will take you with me, so that where I am, you too may be”. If faith has spaces where we have to take a leap of confidence and close our eyes, it is also true that it is based on the word and life of Jesus; and He can never fail us.
Today is a day to stay giving thanks for so much good. Everything is passing, but there is someone who always remains, that is God. “He alone suffices”. This is enough for us.

GEBET
Risen Lord, often times,
the roads of our life
seem like crossroads without indicators,
and we do not know
where to go, or how to act,
or with whom to go.
 
Your word comes out
to meet us in our doubts
and it comforts us saying:
“Do not fear. I’m with you”.
 
Although following you does not bring us
immediate and automatic solutions,
it does give us the best:
the deep certainty
that you are and always will be by our side,
and the peace of the heart that attests
that living in You,
nothing can disturb us anymore.
