Mary fills the history of Carmel with her presence. Carmel looks on her as its Lady and Mother, Protector and trusted friend, model and ideal of its life of consecration.
We, Carmelite Missionaries, were born in this tradition. We look to Mary who dwells in the midst of our communities, as the perfect type of the Church, and as a sign of the mystery of unity and holiness. Father Founder teaches us what he learned by doctrine and experience: to contemplate the Mystical Body mirrored in Mary as a communion of love and as a sign of the continuing presence of the Holy Spirit who unites all Carmelite Missionaries in prayer and who by his grace, prompts their apostolic service. We entrust ourselves to the maternal protection of Mary, so that she may lead us into the mystery of ecclesial communion and into God’s salvific plan
