From 12th to 24th July, we, Cecilia Andrés and Carmen Rosa Palacio, carried out the Pastoral Visit to the Delegation of Brazil.

Those were spirit-filled days of sharing rich experiences. The Sisters of the Delegation undertake interesting processes with the people, living a joyful and enthusiastic style of life that favours the growth of the two communities.

The Vocation Ministry is bearing fruit among the joyful and committed youth.  The parish social and pastoral work is very strong.

We are grateful for the welcome and love given us and we invite you to continue to grow in this ecclesial commitment that is animating you.

During the months of June and July, we, Cecilia Andrés and Carmen Rosa Palacio, passed by the 7 communities of Central America and the Caribbean, in a fraternal and hopeful atmosphere.

The Sisters are inserted in the environment, celebrating with the people the different moments they are living.
Majority of these countries had been marked by internal struggles that had left deep traces of pain among its people. Poverty is felt in all corners but at the same time an air of hope can be perceived, a feeling of joy, of knowing that one can start anew.

The apostolates of the Sisters are vibrant and bold, giving much participation to the lay people. It is a priority to work for the good of others. The Carmelite Missionary Secular is bearing fruit and is extending to the different places of the Demarcation.

We thank the Sisters for their fraternal closeness, openness and sense of belonging.

To end the Visit to the Province of Medellin, Cecilia Andrés and Carmen Rosa Palacio travelled to Mexico to visit the two communities that carry out the mission there, and which are part of the “Sagrado Corazón” Province. The Sisters are very welcoming and living a simple life. In Tantoyuca, the Francisco Palau School is operating well, even with few students. The Sisters collaborate in the pastoral work in the communities and villages, accompanying the people in their process of living the faith.

In Ixclatán, a locality of the state of Hidalgo, the Sisters who have recently arrived are in the process of knowing the place and integrating themselves into the community that has received them with enthusiasm, hope and solidarity. The people are deeply religious, well organized, receptive; they respond to the invitations of their community leaders and the Sisters. The month of May was celebrated there and on the 31st they gathered in procession at the central chapel and closed the month with a Eucharistic celebration. It was indeed a touching response from the people. There are many children and youth, with whom a beautiful pastoral work can be carried out.

The Sisters are very hopeful trying to get to know the culture and customs of the people so as to bring the Gospel to them while respecting their values and style of life.

From 14th March to 24th April, Srs. Cecilia Andrés, Maria Fely Covacha, Ana María Rejas and Vilma D’Silva carried out the Pastoral Visit to the “Sagrado Corazón” Province, Medellin. They accompanied and animated each one of the sisters (185 sisters in the 21 communities) to renew their commitment in following the Lord as Carmelite Missionaries. The Visit concluded with the Easter celebration, a surge of life that launches us to communicate the Good News of the Risen Lord, as what the sisters of the demarcation do. Many thanks to them for the welcome and fraternity offered during this time.
